EL 2009 CONGRESS – ADVERTISING AWARDS
Entry Information
The Advertising Awards are traditional parts of the EL Congresses and will be held as part of the event, within the framework of the Farewell Dinner. In addition to awarding outstanding commercials, the contest provides an opportunity to the EL Members to introduce themselves and experience the creativity of the organizations of the gaming sector.
EL2009 Advertising Awards is announced in four categories:
Number games (Lotto, Keno, etc)
Instant games
Sports betting
Best new media game
The work found best will be awarded in each category. The delegates will vote for each category.
Deadline for submitting entries: 20 May 2009
Entry fee: EUR 236 per entry (18% VAT included)
The participants of the Congress will decide the program of EL2009 Advertising Awards by casting their votes.
The films entered in the contest will be continuously played during the Congress in Video Awards Room of İstanbul Convention & Exhibition Centre. All participants can watch these works and cast their votes in the designated ballot box.
Each participant in the Congress will get one (unique) serial numbered ballot upon registration. Valid votes can be cast by using this paper only.
Lost ballots cannot be replaced.
Entry Conditions
1. Entry and Application
Only materials first broadcasted between April 2008 and April 2009 are eligible for participating in the Contest.
Non-English speaking films must be subtitled or dubbed.
All materials must be uploaded to the server ftp: www.el2009.org login: ftpel2009-w pass: s1f3h6k2 (in mpg2 format, 720x576 image size, 4000 bitrate compression).
Each file must also be submitted on a DVD. The DVD must indicate the name, address and contact details of the contestant and the name of author.
The name of the contestant must be displayed both at the beginning and end of each commercial (votes can be cast for these names).
2. Conditions and Application Deadline
Program organizers must receive the material for the contest by 5 p.m. (local time) on 20 May 2009.

Please clearly state the title of the work and the name of the contestant on the data carrier. Please write on the envelope: “EL2009 Congress - Advertising Awards” and the title and category of the work. We cannot accept material received after the expiry date. We will confirm to the contact person mentioned that the material has been received..
A certificate for dispatching the material shall not be considered proof of service of the material.
Materials received will not be returned or retained.
An entry is invalid if:
it is not submitted using the prescribed entry form
it is not submitted in the manner, at the place and by the time indicated in the Procedure
it is not submitted in the prescribed format/data carrier
it does not have the labeled data carriers and obligatory documents and proof of payment of the entry fee attached to it or they are not supplied within the time limit specified for supplying deficiencies
it originates from a contestant who fails to comply with those written in the Procedure
it is entered with a product that fails to comply with those written in the Procedure
Invalid entry shall cause elimination of the production from the contest.
3. Entry Fee and Terms of Payment
The entry fee is EUR 236 per entry (18% VAT included).
Entries will not be accepted if the entry fee is not paid or the entry is deficient for any other reason. Payments must have arrived at the Organizer by 20 May 2009.
The entry fee is payable by bank transfer. In the announcement box, please state precisely the title of the work and the name of the contestant organization. Entries must be accompanied by the bank certificate proving payment of the entry fee or a copy thereof. We will not refund the entry fee if the entry fails to comply with the conditions in the Procedure and therefore, will not participate in the contest.
